Last weekend, the Democratic Party held the first weekend regional primary of the national convention to select the party leader.

Candidate Jae-myung Lee received overwhelmingly more votes than the other two candidates.

Rep. Jae-myung Lee won the overwhelming first place with more than 70% of the votes in the second primary contested by the rights party members in Jeju and Incheon.

With this, Rep. Lee Jae-myung recorded 74.15% of the votes in the first week of the party's representative circuit round, Rep. Park Yong-jin 20.88%, and Rep. Kang Hoon-shik 4.98%.

All four candidates classified as so-called 'Lee Jae-myung' were ranked in the top 5, and only one member of the 'non-Lee Jae-myung' tendency was included.



The Democratic Party will continue its round of primaries for right party members in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam on the 13th, and in Daejeon and Chungcheong on the 14th.
