Shortly before 10 o'clock, the police and ambulance were called to Johannisberg airport in Västerås due to a parachute accident.
A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital, but the man has died as a result of the accident.
The accident will be investigated by the Parachute Association on behalf of the Norwegian Transport Board.
The police do not suspect any crime.
Relatives have been notified.
