It all started with an appeal launched by Yero Boly, the Minister in charge of National Reconciliation, who invited Burkinabè who had joined the armed groups to join the dialogue process and join the care centers to facilitate their reintegration.

The Today in Faso

newspaper

revealed that in fact, through this appeal, the government would be in the process of concluding “

a deal with the terrorists for a truce of 24 months, which corresponds to the duration of the Transition

”.

According to the Burkinabè government, these allegations, which have also been relayed by certain media, are totally unfounded.

He is sorry that a subject of such gravity can be treated with so much "

lightness

" and that false information is thus propagated in the public space.

"

In the action of the government of the Transition, there can be no question of sordid haggling or deal with terrorists to sign a two-year peace of the brave

", specifies Lionel Bilgo the government spokesman.

He stresses that these are fabrications totally foreign to the objectives of the Transition, which remains determined to pacify the country and to regain the territorial integrity of Burkina Faso.
