Ukraine cannot be considered a safe country for gas transit.

This opinion was expressed by Andrey Klishas, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, in his Telegram channel.

“After the confiscation of Russian property in Ukraine, announced by the head of the neo-Nazi regime Zelensky, this country can no longer be considered a country safe for the transit of any goods, including Russian energy,” Klishas wrote.

Recall that in March, Vladimir Zelensky signed a law on the seizure in Ukraine of the property of Russia and its residents.

At the same time, in May, a legislative initiative was approved allowing the Kyiv regime to seize the property of persons supporting the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces.

Among other things, it was aimed at confiscating the property of Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform - For Life (OPPL) party.

The day before, the President of Ukraine announced that Russian assets worth $ 765 million were seized in the country. At the same time, according to the Ukrainian Cabinet, another 903 objects belonging to the Russian state will be confiscated in the near future.

We are talking about the assets of sanctioned citizens, Russian companies and banks.

Note that back in May, Vladimir Putin drew attention to the situation in which objects that belong to the Russian Federation are seized: “Violation of the rules, norms in the field of international finance, trade does not lead to anything good.

And to put it in simple terms, it will only lead to problems for those who do it.

Theft of other people's assets has never brought anyone to good, especially those who are engaged in this unseemly business.

Speaking about gas transit, we recall that Gazprom and Naftogaz signed a five-year contract in 2019, which will expire in December 2024.

In the first half of July, the Russian Foreign Ministry admitted the possibility of extending transit if Europe continues to demand for Russian blue fuel, and the Ukrainian gas transportation system remains in working order.

“It is dangerous to carry out transit through Ukraine”

According to political scientist Alexander Dudchak, the Kyiv regime has turned Ukraine into a state that conducts terrorist activities against its own citizens.

“With all the current events, there were some unspoken boundaries.

But in Kyiv they decided that not a single bottom should remain unbroken and not a single red line should remain uncrossed ... How can they be perceived further?

Klishas is right.

It is dangerous to carry out transit through Ukraine, because at any moment it can be intercepted.

Selection can begin without any compensation.

You can even expect from Ukraine what it is impossible to expect in principle, ”said the interlocutor of RT.

Earlier, the deputy and ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the former head of the Servant of the People party, Dmitry Razumkov, in his column in one of the Ukrainian media, said that Ukraine should withdraw the “remainder” of Russian gas from pipelines passing through its territory.

In turn, Deputy Director General of the Institute of National Energy Alexander Frolov recalled that the Ukrainian authorities since the presidency of Leonid Kuchma have not been shy about declaring the seizure of Russian assets, in particular gas.

In his opinion, cooperation with Ukraine has been associated with a great economic risk for Russia for many years.

“Yes, and over the past eight years, the confiscation of Russian property has been rampant,” the expert stated in an interview with RT.
