Wang Yi said that Taiwan is a part of China and has never been a country.
There is only one China, and this is the status quo of Taiwan since ancient times.
The communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States clearly pointed out that the government of the People's Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing China and recognizes that Taiwan is a part of China. This is the status quo across the Taiwan Strait that has remained unchanged for decades.
It was the separatist forces in the US and Taiwan that broke this status quo.
Wang Yi gave an example to illustrate that the United States continues to change the status quo in the Taiwan Strait, saying that the United States is actually constantly hollowing out the "one China policy".
Wang Yi said that if Mr. Sun Yat-sen had a spirit underground, he would also point to Tsai Ing-wen's nose and say that she was an unworthy descendant.
