Formed in Nantes, passed by Aston Villa and Saint-Etienne, he returns to Ligue 1 after five seasons spent in Italy, at Fiorentina then with AS Roma, victorious last season in the Europa League Conference.
"Today I think it's time to come back to France and to Olympique de Marseille, who contacted me. It's a big project," he said during a brief conference of press alongside club president Pablo Longoria.
