Ludvig Helin was one of the train travelers who was affected during Thursday's storm.

For SVT Nyheter Väst, he tells about the nightmarish experience on the train that got stuck in the storm - and whose passengers were not allowed to get out because of live wires outside.

- The toilets were overcrowded quite quickly because it was not possible to flush, so you kind of had to pee in bags, says Ludvig Helin.

According to him, the train was dark half the time - with closed doors and 35 degree heat.

The reason they didn't let people off was that the catenary that collapsed on the train may have energized the train and the platform.

Lack of seats on replacement trains

- I regret that the travelers ended up in that situation, but there was a safety aspect behind it.

It is not possible to let people off the hook in that situation, says Martina Nord, press communicator at SJ.

At 03:00 the passengers had to get off the train and then two buses and some taxis that SJ had ordered arrived.

A replacement train was in place in Skövde, but Ludvig Helin and several others did not get a seat on it.

It ended with Ludvig Helin taking a taxi ride which he says must have cost SEK 3,700.
