At present, all 130,000 tickets for August have been sold out, and citizens come to visit in an endless stream every day.

  Wu Zhihua, director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, said that since the opening of the Hong Kong Palace Museum for a month, it has been well received by Hong Kong citizens.

Both the number of visitors and the length of stay can reflect the attention of Hong Kong citizens to the culture of the Palace Museum.

After visiting, many citizens praised the exhibits, architectural space and curatorial techniques.

Wu Zhihua said that this is a great encouragement to the entire operation team and gives them great confidence.

  The Hong Kong Palace Museum will launch the second phase of the special exhibition "Treasures of the Nation: Calligraphy and Paintings of the Jin, Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties in the Palace Museum" from August 3. 15 famous ancient calligraphy and paintings of the national treasure level will be displayed in the exhibition hall 8, including "Luo Shen Fu Tu" ( A copy of the Northern Song Dynasty) "Running Script Copying Orchid Pavilion Preface" and "Autumn Colors of Jiangshan Mountains" and other selected treasures, the exhibition time is one month.

  Jiang Fangting, an associate researcher at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, said that this special exhibition is mainly composed of masterpieces selected from the Jin, Tang, Song and Yuan dynasties. They are all representative works of each era and genre. They are the highest-ranking and the most precious artefacts.

As one of the curators, Jiang Fangting hopes to bring the beauty and artistry of ancient Chinese calligraphy and painting traditions to the people of Hong Kong in a simple way.

  In order to be the first to appreciate the special exhibition of 15 ancient paintings and calligraphy of national treasures in the second phase, Zhang Weihao, a Hong Kong primary school student who is about to enter the fifth grade, specially visited the museum on August 3.

He said that after visiting the Hong Kong Palace Museum, you can learn more about the history of the country and the wisdom of the ancients.

Going to the scene to watch the three-dimensional appearance of historical relics is also helpful for strengthening the understanding of Chinese history and culture.

  Wu Zhihua pointed out that enhancing young people's understanding of excellent traditional culture and the country's long history, and strengthening young people's cultural self-confidence is one of the next important tasks of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

In this regard, the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government have jointly compiled a Chinese history teaching resource book. Through the selection of cultural relics from the Palace Museum, teachers can provide teachers with materials for deepening the curriculum, allowing students to experience interesting learning content.
