• Appointment Felipe VI opens the Marivent Palace to civil society despite the boycott of Armengol's partners

The Royal Family opened the

doors of Marivent

to Balearic civil society for the first time on Thursday night.

A novel appointment in which they gathered more than

400 people

on the esplanade in front of the door of the palace that Doña Sofía lives in summer.

At nine o'clock at night, and when the chicharras acted as an improvised soundtrack, the Kings Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, accompanied by Doña Sofía, appeared in the cruise that is located on one side of the entrance to the residence.

Doña Letizia made an impact with

a coral dress

printed in green by Charo Ruiz.

It was the first image of Doña Sofía on the island, where she settles all summer.

Felipe VI opens the Marivent Palace to civil society despite the boycott of Armengol's partners

The three members of the Royal Family began a kiss that lasted

ten minutes

and ended with sunset.

The guests, after greeting the King and Queen, continued on their way to the end of the esplanade, where

16 cocktail tables

had been set up with white tablecloths and some small lamps as decoration.

Some small lamps that were almost the only lighting on the esplanade, in addition to the light that illuminates the Marivent façade, so one of the comments of the night was

the need,

in other editions, to have some more light.

Queen Sofia also realized that it was difficult to identify people once night had fallen.

After greeting everyone, both the mother of Felipe VI and the Kings began a series of

huddles

with everyone who requested them.

Don Felipe held conversations with various groups, most of them men.

Doña Letizia was undoubtedly the

most requested

person during the hour and a half that the cocktail lasted, served by Santi Taura.

The Queen was asked for photographs, greetings, small conversations...

she was always surrounded

by dozens of people, to whom she reciprocated with smiles, selfies and chats.

Queen Sofía was also speaking with a multitude of guests.

The wife of Don Juan Carlos confessed

to being very happy on the island

and showed her happiness for enjoying a lot with

her granddaughters

in Marivent, although the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta reside in Son Vent, another house in the complex.

At the end of the evening, the King and Queen and Doña Sofía took

a photo with Santi Taura,

chef in charge of the reception, and his team.

The most acclaimed of the menu that they tasted were the ecological sobrassada cakes.

Half an hour after ten o'clock, the three members of the Royal Family climbed the steps of the main entrance of Marivent and before entering the residence they turned to say goodbye to the guests, who broke into

a standing ovation.

Thus ended the opening night of the family's summer residence.
