According to the US "Washington Post" report, on the evening of the 4th local time, extreme weather occurred in Washington, and four people were seriously injured by lightning in the northwest of Lafayette Square near the White House. They are in critical condition and are in danger of life.
Police said the injured were two men and two women, and they were taken to the hospital.
Surveillance footage from the area showed the plaza was closed to the public and multiple ambulances and fire trucks parked north of the White House.
