At 10:30 a.m. on August 3, Beirut local time, the 20th batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon held command power with the 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon at the peacekeeping camp in Sinya Village, Tyre City, southern Lebanon. The handover ceremony is also the 20th rotation of the Chinese peacekeeping force in the 16 years of peacekeeping in Lebanon.

  Major General Lazaro, Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, Qian Minjian, Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Lebanese military and political representatives, and Chinese peacekeeping troops in Lebanon attended the handover ceremony.

  Commander Lazaro first inspected the Chinese peacekeeping troops accompanied by Ye Fangchao, commander of the 20th batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon, and Yan Xiaoliang, commander of the 21st batch of peacekeeping troops to Lebanon.

Subsequently, Commander Lazaro took over the United Nations flag from Commander Ye Fangchao and solemnly handed it over to Commander Yan Xiaoliang, marking the official completion of the rotation of the two batches of peacekeeping troops going to Lebanon.

  The 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon to replace this time consist of 410 people, consisting of a multi-functional engineer detachment, a construction engineer detachment and a medical detachment.

During the one-year mission period, they will undertake tasks such as mine clearance, engineering construction, medical assistance and humanitarian assistance.
