The American agency noted that youth is the "greatest resource" for achieving the strategic goal, namely: "a prosperous, effectively managed and viable North Macedonia, committed to the idea of Euro-Atlantic integration."

improving the professional qualities of young people necessary for occupying certain positions, moving up the career ladder and participating in public life, ”the text of the document says.

In addition, USAID plans to promote among young people the values “underlying self-sufficiency,” such as responsibility, independence, law abidance, strict adherence to ethical principles, civic engagement, and a sense of purpose.

To implement the project, the agency intends to cooperate with government agencies, private sector enterprises and youth organizations of the Balkan country.

Earlier, the US State Department published a strategy for developing relations with North Macedonia.

The authors pointed to the "malicious influence" of Russia and China, which allegedly opposes the Western integration of the Balkans.

In this regard, the State Department planned to work with the government and civil society of the country to strengthen the region's resilience to outside influence.
