Islamabad news: On August 2, local time, the Inter-Services Public Relations Service of the Pakistan Armed Forces said that the wreckage of the Pakistani military helicopter that had been missing the night before had been found, and all six people on board were killed.

  According to Pakistan's "Dawn" report, the wreckage of the helicopter was found on a mountain in the Ras Bella region of southwestern Pakistan's Balochistan province.

On the evening of August 1, local time, the helicopter lost contact with air traffic controllers during a flood rescue operation in the area.

Among those killed were Lieutenant General Ali, commander of the 12th Corps in charge of overseeing disaster relief operations in Balochistan.

According to preliminary investigations, the accident was caused by bad weather.

  Affected by the monsoon, Pakistan has experienced multiple rounds of heavy rainfall since mid-June, causing floods.

According to Pakistan's National Disaster Administration, as of the end of July, heavy rainfall had killed at least 502 people in Pakistan; among them, Balochistan was the worst hit, with at least 136 dead.

  Pakistani President Arif Alvi expressed his deep grief for the soldiers who lost their lives in the helicopter accident through social media.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shabazz Sharif also expressed his condolences to the victims through social media, saying that the six crew members performed their sacred duty to provide relief to those affected by the floods, and Pakistan would be forever grateful to them.
