Today, Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces had destroyed an arms depot that Kyiv had received from Poland in Lviv, in the far west of Ukraine.

The Russian military confirmed in a statement Wednesday that "high-precision missiles" had destroyed in the Lviv region "a depot of foreign arms and ammunition delivered to the Kyiv system from Poland."

And last June, Moscow confirmed the destruction of an arms depot handed over by NATO in western Ukraine, an area rarely hit by Russian strikes.

For his part, the head of the Ukrainian Military Administration in Kharkiv Province, Igor Senegopov, said that Russia's bombing with missiles from the S-300 system targeted an industrial facility in the province and partially destroyed it.

Sengopov explained that the Russian missile and artillery bombardment also affected four cities in the province, and indicated that the Ukrainian forces pushed the Russian forces to retreat in the Dmitivka region after they tried to advance there.

New landing ships

In a related context, the Ukrainian army said that Russia pushed again into the Black Sea, with three large landing ships, considering it an additional danger to the Odessa province in the south of the country.

And this week, the first Ukrainian grain ships sailed from the port of Odessa under the Istanbul agreement signed between Moscow and Kiev, brokered by Turkey and under the auspices of the United Nations, to ship Ukrainian grain to the world, months after it was stopped due to the war and Russia's blockade of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian army denied that it had lost any of the HIMARS missile systems that it obtained from the United States, after several announcements from Russia to destroy several bases, platforms and warehouses of HIMARS and Harpoon missiles and other advanced weapons obtained by Kyiv from the United States.

He stressed that his forces destroyed a military base and two ammunition depots for the Russians in Mykolaiv and Kherson, as well as a train that was intended to transport Russian forces from the Prilyvka region in southern Ukraine.

counterattack

A British intelligence update said on Wednesday that Ukrainian counter-attacks in the southeastern Kherson region are causing growing problems for the Russians.

The British Ministry of Defense said a Ukrainian attack on a train carrying Russian munitions temporarily disrupted a supply route from Crimea, which Russia annexed.

The update indicated that although the Russians could repair the road in a few days, it would still be a weakness.

Western security circles say that the Ukrainian counterattack in Kherson has gained momentum recently, especially thanks to the help of the HIMARS multiple launchers provided by the United States.

As heavy fighting continues, British intelligence expects more and more individuals to flee Kherson region in the near future.

This is expected to increase pressures on traffic and transport routes, and may lead to restrictions.

It should be noted that the British government regularly publishes intelligence updates on the course of the Russian war in Ukraine, which Moscow describes as a smear campaign directed against it.
