“The task of the crisis headquarters is to find solutions to combat chaos and devastation in the sector, ensure the predictability of gas prices and build mechanisms to reduce fuel and electricity prices,” Interim Prime Minister Gylyb Donev was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.

The headquarters will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy Khristo Aleksiev.

Alexander Danilov, Ph.D. in Economics, spoke in an interview with the FBA "Economy Today" about the difficulties the Bulgarian economy will face if it refuses Russian gas and switches to LNG from the United States.

According to him, liquefied natural gas is not a salvation for countries that are used to getting fuel through pipelines.
