“The European Commission transferred to Ukraine the second tranche of €500 million from the macro-financial assistance program of €1 billion. The first tranche of €500 million was transferred on August 1,” the EC said.
Earlier, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that the EU allocated €1 billion to Ukraine through the European Investment Bank.
