China Taiwan Net, August 2. According to Taiwan media reports, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Pelosi, is expected to arrive in Taiwan at 10 o'clock tonight to visit. A so-called "foreign person" on the island revealed that Pelosi will meet separately tomorrow (3rd). You Xikun, head of Taiwan's legislature, and Tsai Ing-wen, leader of the Taiwan region, went to the "Jingmei Human Rights Park" in the afternoon and are expected to take a flight to leave Taiwan at 5 pm.

The report said that Pelosi's call sign "SPAR19" Boeing C-40C transport plane took off from Malaysia at 3:42 p.m. today. Judging from the flight route, it may detour through the Philippine coast before arriving in Taiwan.

The so-called "foreign-related people" on the island said that Pelosi was originally expected to arrive in Taiwan around 10:30 tonight, but the itinerary may change at any time, so the exact time is still uncertain.

As for the itinerary in Taiwan, the "foreign-related person" said that Pelosi originally planned to meet Tsai Ing-wen at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning, but after further communication between the two sides, some more itineraries have been added. Cai Ban paid a visit to Tsai Ing-wen.

In addition, it is also planned to hold a press conference at 11 am, accept Tsai Ing-wen's luncheon reception at 12 pm, go to the "Jingmei Human Rights Park" at 2 pm, and leave the stage at 5 pm.

Regarding Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly expressed its firm opposition and solemn position to the US side.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian pointed out at a regular press conference on August 1 that as the No. 3 figure in the US government, Pelosi's identity determines that her visit to Taiwan must be highly sensitive. Both will seriously violate the one-China principle and the provisions of the three Sino-US joint communiqués, seriously undermine Sino-US relations, and will inevitably cause bad political impact.

Zhao Lijian warned the U.S. side that the Chinese side is standing by, and the Chinese People's Liberation Army will never sit idly by.

What the US should do is to abide by the one-China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiques, fulfill President Biden's promise not to support "Taiwan independence", and not arrange for Pelosi to visit Taiwan.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying also said at today's regular press conference that for China, our relevant position and attitude are very clear.

We closely follow Pelosi's itinerary.

If the US insists on going its own way, China will take firm and powerful measures to safeguard China's sovereignty and security interests.
