Kuwait announced yesterday, the dissolution of the National Assembly and the call for new elections within months.

The Kuwait News Agency said that an Emiri decree was issued to officially dissolve the National Assembly.

On June 22, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, announced the constitutional dissolution of the National Assembly and the resort to holding elections.

Yesterday, the new Kuwaiti government took the constitutional oath before Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

In a speech to the new government, the Crown Prince said: "You have great responsibilities and a great trust that you have entrusted to you."

He called on the government to work on "touching and solving citizens' problems and embodying respect for the constitution and the law."

In turn, Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah told the Crown Prince: "We will work to correct the political track in the next stage."
