- SD does not advocate LGBT policy reform, and often makes clear racist statements, so we do not invite them, says Trifa Shakely, RFSL's confederation chairman.

Nor were SD invited to the party leader debates during the election years 2014 and 2018.

- We are a feminist, anti-racist organisation.

Regardless of how much of the government and power they have, we are not going to trample on our own principles in any way.

M and KD participate

From the right, the party leaders of, among others, the Moderates and the Christian Democrats will debate.

The parties have been clear that they can imagine forming a government with the support of SD.

- We will address that when we debate with the Moderates, with KD and with the right-wing bloc, of course.

"Strange"

That other right-wing parties should give a picture of what SD thinks on LGBTQ issues cannot be used as an argument, believes the Sweden Democrats' spokesperson on LGBTQ issues, Bo Broman.

- They talk a lot about society having to be inclusive towards LGBTQ people, and then you behave in an exclusive way towards a party that brings together almost a fifth of Sweden's entire population - and probably just as many LGBTQ people.

TT: The chairman of the federation says that the SD does not promote any LGBT policy reform, and often makes clear racist statements - what do you think about that?

- I don't think so, I myself am openly gay and I have never heard anything LGBTQ-hostile being said within the party - neither externally nor within the party movement.

- Andra Pride has opened up to invite everyone, I don't know why Stockholm is so exclusive.

It's a boring development, says Bo Broman.
