The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, said on the 1st that the Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (Garrison in Hong Kong) silently guards Hong Kong and is a solid backing for the prosperity and stability of the SAR.

  Li Jiachao posted on the social platform that day, saying that today is the "August 1st" Army Day and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

He noted that the Hong Kong Garrison held a flag-raising ceremony for the Army Day at the Central Military Pier for the first time.

  Li Jiachao mentioned that the Central Military Wharf was handed over by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to the Hong Kong Garrison during his tenure as the Secretary for Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, which has far-reaching significance to him.

  Li Jiachao said that the garrison in Hong Kong silently guards Hong Kong and is a solid backing for the prosperity and stability of the SAR.
