A three-year-old child dies after falling from the eleventh floor in Grenoble

A three-year-old child died on Saturday in Grenoble (Isère) after falling from an apartment on the eleventh floor of a building.

The firefighters and the Samu immediately went to the scene, in the Villeneuve district.

The victim was officially pronounced dead there.

The public prosecutor Éric Vaillant indicated that a chair, a table and a planter had been found on the balcony from which the child fell.

The latter could have used them to climb over the railing before falling.

The mother was running errands

The magistrate also mentioned the information given by the mother of the little boy to the police as part of the investigation.

She explained that her son was temporarily alone in the apartment.
