Another massive crime in South Africa.

The facts took place near a disused mine in Krugersdorp, in the eastern suburbs of Johannesburg, where a team of 22 people was filming a video clip.

Ten men, illegal miners with hooded faces, then stopped their work to attack the team.

As they tried to flee, they shot at them.

They forced them to undress and started to rape them.

Eight women were raped.

They were between 19 and 35 years old

, ”detailed the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele.

This new case comes just three weeks after the shooting that killed 16 people in a popular bar in Soweto.

Is there a link between all these crimes, the journalists asked the Minister of Police?

The only thing they have in common is that they instill fear in South Africans

 ," he replied.

Busy to open a conference of his party, the ANC, President Cyril Ramaphosa spoke of this rampant criminality: "

Throughout the country, people live in fear, frightened by gangsters, armed robberies, rapes and murders.

Women and children are the most vulnerable to this violence committed by men against them.

In the first quarter of this year, more than 10,000 people were raped in South Africa.

After the home, public places are the areas most affected by rape.
