Kuwait renewed its adherence to boycotting Israel, its products, and companies dealing with it, at a meeting of the Conference of Liaison Officers of the Regional Offices to Boycott Israel.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted Kuwait's representative at the meeting, Mashari Al-Jarallah, as saying, "Any merchandise that is suspected of being Israeli or belonging to banned companies, the necessary measures are taken and confiscated according to the directives of the Director of the General Administration of Customs and the recommendations of the boycott offices."

Al-Jarallah, a legal researcher at the Israel Boycott Office in the General Administration of Customs, added that the conference president praised the role of the Israel Boycott Office in Kuwait, stressing that it is one of the most active offices that deal with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

He stressed that the boycott laws constitute a tool of pressure on Israel, stressing the importance of the Arab boycott offices continuing to implement the decisions and recommendations issued by the conference.

Al-Jarallah pointed out that the conference discussed a number of topics, including banning some companies to which the laws and conditions of the Israeli boycott apply, explaining that "there is one company that supplies the Israeli army with trucks and some materials, but there was no conclusive document on this issue."

He pointed out that Kuwait demanded that the Palestinian office be given an opportunity to prove its point of view regarding this company's dealings with the Israeli army, stressing that this recommendation will be referred to the next meeting due to "the seriousness of this issue."
