  According to the rescue organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, about 83 million people in 60 cities, 140 towns and more than 500 villages in Iran were affected by the floods.

Tehran province was the worst-hit province, with 35 dead.

  Iran's Meteorological Department issued a warning on the 30th that there will be more rainfall in the country's southern and northern provinces in the next few days.

Climate change has increased the odds of extreme weather, including droughts and heavy rainfall, meteorologists say.
