“What Albin Kurti is doing is directed directly against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, and the goal of this is the expulsion of the Serbian people and Serbian institutions from Kosovo and Metohija,” TASS quoted him as saying.

He also added that Belgrade will continue to issue documents of the Republic of Serbia to all citizens from Kosmet.

The head of the Chancellery stressed that Serbia is striving to maintain peace and stability, and called on the Serbs not to succumb to provocations, but added that, if necessary, citizens would "defend their homes and the right to existence and life."

Earlier, Serbian media reported that air raid sirens sounded in the northern part of the unrecognized Kosovo - they, as well as shots, were reported by residents of the border area.

Later it became known that the police of the unrecognized Kosovo closed the Brnjak checkpoint in the north of the province.

It was also reported that special forces of the police of the unrecognized Kosovo moved out of Pristina to the north of Kosovo and Metohija.
