A paraglider has died this Sunday after colliding with another in flight in the

Ávila municipality of Piedrahíta

(2,000 inhabitants), about 60 kilometers west of Ávila.

At around 2:43 p.m., a call informed the Castilla y León 1-1-2 Emergency Service of the

collision of two paragliders in flight,

falling about 3 or 4 kilometers east of the Peñanegra take-off point, where it is located. one of the main areas of Spain for the practice of this sport.

The 1-1-2 has notified the

Civil Guard of Ávila

, the Fire Department of the capital and the Emergency Coordination Center of the Civil Protection Agency, which has mobilized a rescue helicopter, of the accident.

the El Barco de Ávila health center.
