The traffic accident alert came just before 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The people are said to have been hit on Långströmsgatan.
The two were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Later in the evening, the police announced that one died as a result of his injuries.
Relatives have been notified.
The second person's injuries are reportedly serious, but stable, the police write.
Two arrested
At 9:30 p.m., the police were able to arrest two people after starting a special incident.
Two people are arrested for murder and attempted murder in connection with the incident on Långströmsgatan earlier on Saturday.
Two more people have been arrested for aggravated protection of a criminal.
During the evening, the police were on site at the crime scene to, among other things, gather witness information.
