The right wing of Macronie begins to position itself for the future.

Bruno Le Maire and Gérald Darmanin, respectively numbers 2 and 3 of the government, decided to place themselves at the forefront from the start of the five-year term.

The Minister of the Economy, because he defends the law on purchasing power;

that of the Interior, because it intervenes on all subjects related to its portfolio.

Darmanin wants to embody the popular and social right.

The Mayor wants to assert himself as the man of the economy and place himself as the heir of Emmanuel Macron.

And both intend to make the most of their ministry

, ”analyzes one of their colleagues in government.

Edouard Philippe in ambush

But there is a third man who aspires to embody the right wing of Macronie: former Prime Minister

Édouard Philippe

.

The mayor of Le Havre is very discreet at the moment.

But he indirectly made people talk about him a few days ago, when the deputies of his party did not follow the presidential majority during a vote in the Assembly, a way of asserting their independence.

Between these three men, the race for the succession seems to be launched, while the left wing of the presidential camp is struggling to be heard.
