Earlier it became known that several people were injured in an attack with firearms on the Giammattei delegation in the department of Huehuetenango in the north-west of the country.
It is noted that the military guarding the delegation managed to wound one of the attackers, who, according to preliminary data, is a citizen of Mexico.
The rest of the shooters reportedly fled to Mexican territory.
