Traffic was extremely disrupted this Saturday on the high-speed line linking Lyon to Marseille.

In question, a fire which broke out north of Valence in the Drôme.

If the fire is now fixed, the incident caused a lot of inconvenience to travelers, in the middle of the crossover weekend.

It's not just on the roads that traffic slowed down on this crossover Saturday.

Some travelers who had chosen the train option also took much longer than expected to reach their destination.

Even today, several trains heading to the south of France are running with delays ranging from two to three hours due to a fire which broke out earlier in the day north of Valence.

Traffic almost back to normal

"We waited 3:30. There are two trains that came to the station and we got on but the trains were crowded with people on trains that they shouldn't have taken, it was not optimal. I expected a little late, but not as much. I had to be there at 2 p.m., I will be there at 5 p.m. We are drunk because we lost a day", grumbled Rayane at the microphone of Europe 1.
