China News Service, July 30. According to the US "World Daily" report, 27-year-old Wu Zihui and 30-year-old Wu Zhijie joined the New York City Police for three years. A new mother's three-month-old child was beside her when she was shot in the artery.

According to reports, the two said on the 28th that the case occurred at about 7 p.m. on the 22nd when they received radio instructions outside the Holiday Inn on the corner of Delancey Street and Suffolk Street. Shots were fired, causing a woman to fall to the ground.

Wu Zhijie said that the two were the closest group at the time of the incident, and they were backing up another case, but apparently the shooting was more important.

The 22nd coincides with a Friday, and the bars and restaurants of the Lower East Side are open all night, and the main road is also full of traffic.

Wu Zhijie said that in order to save time, the two chose to run to the shooting scene.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a woman lying on the ground bleeding profusely.

Before joining the city police, Wu Zihui worked as an emergency medical rescuer (EMT) in the city fire department, and always carries some simple medical equipment with him in case of emergency.

He said: "For the rescue of gunshot wounds, we must first find the wound where the bullet enters and exits." Because the woman who was shot was wearing trousers, with the help of his partner, he cut the trousers with medical scissors, only to find that the bullet wound on the thigh near the buttocks of the aorta.

"Worst of all, not seeing the wound from which the bullet came out means that the bullet is still in the victim's body, and may continue to cause internal trauma and blood loss more quickly."

The two men covered the gunshot wound with a large amount of gauze and briefed emergency medical personnel on the details of the wounded.

Wu Zihui said: "Gauze can quickly absorb blood, help coagulation, and have the effect of immediate hemostasis. Generally, it is difficult to achieve similar effects by using clothes or textiles to block wounds."

Wu Zhijie also has a medical-related background. He studied psychology at university. He thought the subject was too general, so he went to the John Jay College of Criminal Justice to study for a master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling.

Do psychological counseling and assessments in prisons, juvenile detention centers, parole agencies, and social services before joining the City Police.

The two laughed and said that because they share the same surname "Wu" and are interested in emergency medical care and judicial medical assistance, their "brothers" partners work very well together.

The hospital later informed the Seventh Bureau that it was precisely because of their immediate first aid at the scene that the injured were saved.

It is reported that the case was a street quarrel between a man and his unexpectedly pregnant girlfriend, and the woman's sister stepped in to persuade the man, angering the man and shooting.

The man involved was arrested at the scene, and charges have not yet been released.
