Popular Party and Citizens come together to achieve compliance with the court ruling that requires a minimum of 25% of subjects to be taught in Spanish in Catalan schools.

Both parties will present together today an appeal of unconstitutionality against the new regional regulations that, for the moment, have managed to circumvent the order of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC).

The leaders of both formations, Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Inés Arrimadas, met during the Andalusian electoral campaign last June and agreed to join efforts to take the breach of the percentage set by the judges to the Constitutional Court.

A few days before, these two parties and Vox had already requested an opinion from the Catalan Council of Statutory Guarantees on the new linguistic law of the Parliament.

The secretary general of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, and the deputy secretary general and spokesperson for Cs, Edmundo Bal, have been in charge of leading the work on the appeal of unconstitutionality.
