At the beginning of the meeting, Putin recalled that personnel changes had taken place in Roskosmos.

“In this regard, I would like to discuss with you some issues of the work of Roscosmos, its individual areas,” the president said.

The Russian leader also gave the floor to the Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev for a report.

On July 26, Yury Borisov, CEO of the state corporation Roscosmos, announced at a meeting with the president that Moscow had decided to leave the International Space Station project after 2024.

Prior to that, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Borisov as the general director of Roscosmos.

Borisov will also become the special envoy of the President of Russia for international cooperation in the field of space.
