The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Russian side did not receive requests from the United States for a telephone contact between US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Russian Minister Sergei Lavrov.
This was reported to TASS in the Russian department.
“Apart from media reports, there were no appeals.
We are guided by the usual diplomatic practice, and not by megaphone,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
Earlier, Blinken announced his intention to hold talks with Lavrov in the coming days.
