Sacked Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Melnyk called his post a dream job

On July 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Andriy Melnyk from the post of Ukrainian Ambassador to Berlin.

During his work, Melnik called German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a resentful liverwurst.

Also, in an interview with German journalist Tilo Jung, he called the Nazi accomplice Stepan Bandera a freedom fighter and Robin Hood.

After Melnyk's statement about Bandera, the Israeli embassy in Berlin strongly criticized the Ukrainian ambassador's statement.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak called the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany "a useful idiot of the Kremlin."
