• Courts The judge summons Mónica Oltra to testify as accused on September 19 for the case of the abuse of her ex-husband

The intervention or not of all the emails that were sent by those accused of managing the complaint of abuse against Oltra's ex-husband to a minor is now the focus of the investigation.

The request for the accusations, which were initially rejected by the judge and the prosecutor, has now also been rejected by the main victim, former Vice President Mónica Oltra.

His defense has argued that the accusations, which include the educator's own victim and Oltra's ex-husband, only seek to lengthen the investigation process indefinitely and, what is more serious, seek private data from those under investigation, who are officials and positions of the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies on which the centers for supervised minors depend.

"The spurious motivation of the requested diligence is notorious since the appellant not only seeks a delay in the process, but also seeks to delve into the personal, professional and political life of those investigated, with the sole purpose (of notorious knowledge) of serving to an interest other than the clarification of the facts", affirms Oltra's defense in his brief to the judge.

It is the response to the appeal for reform presented by the

association (of Cristina Seguí) to the initial rejection of the judge and prosecutor, who censored the first request to seize all emails from January 2017 to the present for being "grossly disproportionate" .

However, the defense of the victim of the abuse, Teresa, reacted asking to limit the review of the communications to those established between those investigated between February 14 and August 10, 2017. That is, since Teresa first denounced abuses until the Ministry begins to make the first decisions in this regard.

Oltra's lawyers, however, warn the Investigating Court number 15 of Valencia of the alleged pretense of the accusations that would have nothing to do with the object of the investigation: "Precisely that purpose is what leads him to massively request any communication through the corporate emails of all those investigated, and for a period of five years 'let's see if anything comes out', trampling on the fundamental right to privacy not only of the people who are being investigated, but of third parties with special protection.

In this sense, they add: "Let's not forget that they are mostly officials of the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies, directly related to minors' files, whose data must be specially protected."

The ex-vice president's defense brief also highlights an idea that Oltra herself has always insisted on: that of "political hunting."

"It is necessary to remember that precisely in this case, with marked and notorious political biases in private and popular accusations, unknown persons have been illegally leaking (...) how much information has been linked to the performances".

Hence, a hypothetical violation of "the privacy of numerous people" is alerted.

"Records of minors or of another type would be immediately exposed in social networks", she points out.
