On June 10, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Adzic, informed about the country's intentions to freeze 44 real estate objects owned by Russian citizens under the sanctions imposed.

According to analysts, Russian citizens, as well as Russian companies, invested more than €129 million in the Montenegrin economy in 2021, including €49.46 million invested in real estate acquired by Russians in the republic.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the West is trying to make Montenegro and North Macedonia tools in the anti-Russian game.
