US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen discussed the proposed Russian oil price cap in a phone call with UK Finance Minister Nadhim Zahawi to reduce the impact of the war in Ukraine on global energy .
Both discussed the need to continue accelerating budget support for Ukraine, and opportunities to take advantage of sanctions imposed on Russia, the US Treasury Department said in a statement.
