The cost of the Notification of Operations service for Sberbank customers will change from August 1, according to a company release received by RT.

So, depending on the type of card, the price of the service will be from 40 rubles per month.

As the bank explained, customers can receive the service free of charge after subscribing to SberPrime+ or fulfilling the conditions for SberCard.

It is noted that notifications on the SberCard credit are still provided free of charge.

Now, for holders of classic debit cards, the cost of the service is 60 rubles per month, and for basic cards, including social and student cards, the cost is 30 rubles.

“The increase in the cost occurs for the first time in 20 years of the existence of the service and will amount to ten rubles.

It is associated with a doubling of business volume over the past five years: both the transactional activity of customers and the number and types of messages sent have increased, ”the organization explained.

Artyom Deev, head of the analytical department at AMarkets, believes that the decision of Sberbank to transfer notifications to a predominantly paid format will affect other banks.

“Sberbank's decision will help make the banking sector more competitive.

After the decision of Sberbank to increase the cost of notifications, other banks in the market will compete for customers and offer wider options and services in an environment where customers reduce the set of bank cards due to increased monthly service, ”the analyst said in an interview with RT.

We note that soon after the publication of data on the decision of Sberbank to revise the cost of notifications, it also became known that VTB would increase the cost of this service.

According to RIA Novosti with reference to the message of the credit institution, the price of notifications will increase to 79 rubles.

In turn, Alexander Razuvaev, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Guild of Financial Analysts and Risk Managers, noted that the cost of the service, even taking into account the increase, still remains symbolic and affordable for Sberbank customers.

In an interview with an RT correspondent, Razuvaev suggested that the decision to increase the cost of the service refers to global banking practice.

“Perhaps, Sberbank looked at where it has hidden reserves to increase its income, and decided to increase the commission for notifications.

However, this is a global practice.

For many Western banks, commissions are a significant source of income, and the cost of such services there can be an order of magnitude higher than in Russian banks,” Razuvaev said.

The expert expressed the opinion that the vast majority of bank customers will continue to use the service.

“People are used to notifications, so they are unlikely to be abandoned.

On the whole, our banking system is quite comfortable for Russians, both financially and in terms of the range of services,” he concluded.

We add that from July 1, Sberbank introduced a commission for money transfers to cards of other credit institutions through their applications and websites.

According to the decision of the bank, the amount of this fee will be 1.25% of the transaction amount, but not more than 150 rubles, $3 or €3.

The press service of the bank stressed that we are talking about situations in which cards of other banks are replenished from a Sber card in applications or on the websites of these banks.

The commission was introduced precisely for such situations.

As the bank explained, the corresponding tariffing was introduced in accordance with the practice of other credit institutions, which had previously limited such operations to a commission.

At the same time, Sberbank reminded that customers retained the ability to send up to 50,000 rubles per month to other Sber card holders without commission using the Sberbank Online application.

In addition, the fast payment system allows you to transfer up to 100,000 rubles per month to customers of third-party banks without commission.
