Washington is training Ukrainian pilots to fly American fighters

The spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yury Ignat, said today, Tuesday, that Ukrainian pilots will be trained in 2023 to fly American fighters "F-15" and "F-16".

According to the spokesman's allegations, these exercises come as part of a US initiative that provides for the allocation of $100 million for training.

Earlier, the US Congress approved an initiative to allocate $100 million to train Ukrainian military pilots on US-made aircraft.

"We have no information that the pilots are being trained (now abroad). There is a decision by the US government to provide $100 million for training military pilots in 2023. Perhaps this will happen earlier," Ignat said.

The spokesman considered that America's allocating funds to train Ukrainian pilots to fly American aircraft "indicates the serious intentions of the United States of America to supply the Kyiv regime with F-15 and F-16 fighters and possibly other fighters."

On Monday, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that Ukrainian airports can receive American F-16 fighters after making modernizations and modifications to the airports.

It is noteworthy that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned that if the West provides Ukraine with long-range weapons, the geographical objectives of the special operation in Ukraine will extend far beyond its current goals.

Lavrov announced that the geographical tasks of the special military operation in Ukraine had changed, explaining that now it is not limited to the liberation of Donetsk and Lugansk only, but includes several regions, including Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
