Former US President Donald Trump records his presence in Washington for the first time since he left the White House after his defeat in the elections and the resulting storming of his supporters at the Capitol building, at a time when US President Joe Biden again criticized the behavior of his predecessor in the White House.

Today, Tuesday, Trump will be a guest of the "America First Policy Institute", a think tank run by his allies, amid talk of his intention to run for president again in 2024.

For his part, the US President condemned his predecessor, Donald Trump, yesterday, Monday, for just watching the rioting of his supporters that lasted for hours during the storming of the Capitol, at a time when the police headquarters of the House and Senate were facing a “medieval hell,” as he put it.

"Courageous law enforcement has been exposed to medieval hell for 3 hours, bled blood in the midst of a massacre, and faced the madness of mobs who believed the lies of the loser president," Biden said in a speech at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Officials Conference.

"For three hours, the former president of the United States, the loser, watched it all happen while he sat comfortably in the private dining room next to the Oval Office," the US president added.

"The cops were heroes that day. Donald Trump didn't have the courage to act," Biden said. "You can't be pro-insurgency and pro-cop. You can't be pro-insurgency and pro-democracy. You can't be pro-insurgency and pro-American."

Biden's criticism of Trump is a restoration of the conclusions of the House of Representatives Committee of Inquiry into the riots that targeted the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Last Thursday, the House committee investigating the Capitol events accused Trump of refraining from stopping or condemning the violence, and stressed that he must be held accountable for the serious dereliction of his presidential duties.
