“The head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, Mohammad Mohammadi-Bakhsh, and the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation discussed ways to expand bilateral ties during the meeting,” Razavi said.

He noted that as a result of the talks, a memorandum was signed to increase the number of flights between Iran and Russia up to 35 per week.

Also, Russian and Iranian airlines were allowed to operate cargo flights without restrictions on the frequency of flights, Razavi said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the coincidence of the positions of Russia and Iran on many issues.

In Tehran, on July 19, Putin met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, as well as with Iran's supreme ruler, Ali Khamenei.
