Party leader Jimmie Åkesson, who is on a boat tour along the Göta canal, today makes a stop in Karlsborg where he presents a political program with partly old and new proposals.

The program, which was drawn up by SD ideologue and Member of Parliament Mattias Karlsson, includes everything from healthcare, police presence, road maintenance, wind power, animal welfare, hunting and fishing to mining.

Refugee veto

Part of the program is devoted to describing how Sweden will "take back self-determination from the EU", and bring decisions closer to the citizens.

Among other things in forestry policy.

Village schools must be saved with a state "bridging support", and municipalities must be able to say no to accepting refugees until an asylum freeze is introduced at national level.

The municipal veto against new wind turbines, or "wind-industrial facilities", must be preserved, according to the party.

The program emphasizes that a goal is needed for the ambulance service to be able to reach a patient within a certain time, regardless of where in the country the person is.

The regional airports must be preserved and the speed limit raised on rural roads.

The speed limit should also be raised for epa tractors from 30 to 45 kilometers per hour, writes SD.

Safety and punishment

SD also emphasizes security in the countryside as a profile issue and wants to see tougher penalties for crimes of assault and criminalize the export of stolen goods.

Customs will be given increased powers and armaments.

A specific criminal classification for hunting sabotage should be introduced and vandalism and violence against farmers, hunters and animal breeders should be punished more severely than today.

The Sweden Democrats believe that the permit process for starting mines is too complicated.

Companies that have applied for a permit for a mine should not have to redo the entire process because a single part is changed, and therefore so-called change permits should be made the main rule.

Reindeer nutrition

At the same time, the party comments on reindeer husbandry in its program and writes: "The Reindeer Husbandry Act and the special position and power of the reindeer husbandry industry today mean a hindrance to business and rural development in large parts of Norrland and should be fundamentally revised."
