Hungarian PM Orban: Sanctions fail to weaken Russia and Europe is backfired

On July 23, local time, Hungarian Prime Minister Orban said in a speech in Romania that the EU's sanctions against Russia did not work, but had a serious impact on Europe's political economy.

He said the EU should change its existing strategy in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and develop a new strategy dedicated to peace talks.

Orban said the EU's sanctions against Russia have not weakened Russia, but have caused Europe's own economic and political troubles.

Facts have proved that the EU's policy on the Ukraine issue based on "wrong assumptions" has failed, and many European governments are falling into crisis like "dominoes".
