In the Bouches-du-Rhône, the orange alert for a heat wave has been activated.

If the south is the popular destination for tourists in summer, the intense heat is not easy to bear.

At the intersection of the street, there is a crowd in front of a fruit juice bar.

Amandine orders a green juice, made of pineapple, apple and cucumber.

Henri, 86, and his companion, 92, took out the small camping chairs in the shade of the trees.

"The streets of Aix, we frequent them in the morning only because it's still quite bearable, but the afternoon is hellish."
