The rain did not stop the Viksholm festival in Arvika

But the bands that will be on stage still reflect the prog spirit of yesteryear.

- Yes, it will be progressive music anyway.

Some of the bands stand out from the crowd, he says.

One of the bands has been resurrected more or less because of the Viksholm festival.

- We caught them and they were eager to play again, says Pontus Lindberg.

EXLO – one of about twenty bands

Linnea Waljestål and her band EXLO took to the stage at the Ritz on Friday evening.

It is from the roughly 20 bands that play during the two festival days.

After a time when the pandemic meant mostly l streaming concerts, the band longs to meet the audience again.

- Now it has been dead for a while, so it feels extra fun to get started again for real.

We were there when EXLO soundchecked and had a chat with Linnea Waljeståhl, who is the drummer and singer in the band.
