- Without this, I wouldn't get anywhere, says Lennart Andersson and pats his red car.

Once he arrives in Landskrona from Kävlinge, there is a ramp to go down from the track where the northbound trains are located, but it is for the return journey south that the lift is needed to get to the other tracks.

- I realized that I can change in Helsingborg, so I had to go there and wait for a new train home, says Lennart Andersson, who believes that he has not experienced similar problems at any other stations.

Called the Swedish Transport Administration

When he realized the problem, he found out that the Swedish Transport Administration was responsible for the station and called customer service.

- I got to the exchange and spoke to a girl and her manager had apparently said "these permobiles are only getting bigger".

I think that's damn weak.

He believes that train stations should be accessible to everyone.

- Everyone is talking about improving our environment and what should we do then?

Yes, take public transport as much as possible.

Solution to come

The Swedish Transport Administration is aware of the problem with the lifts in Landskrona and work to redo the lifts is planned to begin in 2023.

- Today I can't answer why the shaft was built so small at the time it started.

It is not only permobiles that are prevented, but also stretcher transports if necessary, writes Magnus Sandberg at the Swedish Transport Administration in an email to SVT.
