“The heaviest downpour in the Central and Khostinsky districts led to flooding of territories - roads, adjacent territories and the basement and first floors of buildings,” the press service of RIA Novosti quotes a statement.
It is noted that the water level in the Khosta, Matsesta and Kudepsta rivers has reached unfavorable levels.
Earlier it was reported that the water level in the Bzugu River in Sochi approached unfavorable levels due to heavy rain.
Before that, it became known that about 90 mm of precipitation fell in the Lazarevsky district of Sochi in two hours, two entrances of residential buildings were flooded, as well as two sections of the A-147 federal highway.
