The fire that has destroyed 7,000 hectares of forest in La Teste-de-Buch in Gironde since July 12 has been "fixed", the Gironde prefecture announced on Saturday.
The fire that has ravaged 7,000 hectares of forest since July 12 in La Teste-de-Buch, in the Bassin d'Arcachon, is "fixed", said Saturday the prefecture of Gironde.
The other fire which broke out the same day in Gironde, in the Landiras sector, and which burned 13,800 hectares of forest, is not yet fixed, "because of the risk of resumption", specified the prefecture in a press release.
This fire is still considered "contained".
