- It feels indescribably nice, unreal!

I won individually and in a team in 2001, and then a number of second places but also ten team golds.

Now 21 years later, I am individual champion again, I think that proves that there is still more to gain, says Arne Lamberth, Swedish champion in precision jumping from Borensberg who competes for Linköping's parachute club.

“Was very nervous before”

After the success of the 00s, Arne Lamberth chose to stop competing in 2011. But after a couple of years, he notices that something is missing.

He resumes training and finds that he still has a lot to give.

- It feels very nice to be back now that I know it went well.

I was very nervous before.

All of a sudden I do what I said I wouldn't do.

Winning with friends and winning with a team is so much bigger than winning by yourself.

Important for the club

Despite the individual success, Arne Lamberth highlights the team gold he won together with his friends Anders Carlson and Patricio Matta Salgado as the big win.

Possibly the importance of winning is greater than just the weight of the gold medal around the neck, it can also have positive effects for Linköping's parachute club.

- I hope partly that you can feel a sense of pride in the club and partly that it is good for the club's "brand".

There are many people who want to start skydiving and then our club is painted as a competent and serious club.
